Summit Fort McMurray Contributes to Food Drive

The 9th Annual Servus Spring Food Drive took place this past weekend with the goal of raising funds and food donations for families across the Wood Buffalo region, ensuring no one goes hungry this spring and summer.

As always, Summit Fleet and Summit GM were ready to pitch in! We donated 10 trucks and 1 SUV for the event. They were stationed at all grocery stores in Fort McMurray, including Walmart and Anzac Grocery Store, while the volunteers collected much needed donations!

The Summit team in Fort McMurray was overjoyed to hear that the food drive brought in
  • $28,113 lbs of food
  • $18,365 in monetary donations!
With the continued demand in need that the Wood Buffalo Food Bank (WMFB) faces monthly, this is an incredible success and will help to continue providing services through the next few months.
The Wood Buffalo Food Bank fights against food insecurity in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (Fort McMurray and all surrounding rural communities).
