Our community involvement at Summit Fleet is very important to us. We take part in as many events and sponsorships as we can, throughout each year.

On April 9th and 10th this year, the Wood Buffalo Food Bank's (WBFB) Annual Spring Food Drive returned, and Summit Fleet was ready to pitch in!

Summit Fleet and Summit GM donated 11 trucks for the event. They were stationed at all grocery stores in Fort McMurray, including Walmart and Anzac Grocery Store, from 9am – 9pm, while the volunteers collected much needed donations!
PRECIOUS BOUNTY
The Food Bank was hoping for a big comeback this year. Although it was a snowy day, that didn't discourage the volunteers!

The Summit team in Fort McMurray was overjoyed to hear that the food drive brought in
  • $28,528 lbs of food, estimated value $74,000!
  • $26,193 in monetary donations!
The Wood Buffalo Food Bank fights against food insecurity in the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo (Fort McMurray and all surrounding rural communities).
