New EV Platform for Fleet Vehicles

March 4, 2021
GM will be utilizing a new, global EV platform to support future products, including fleet vehicles, and it will be powered by new proprietary Ultium batteries. The platform will be flexible enough to build a wide range of trucks, SUVs, crossovers, cars, and commercial vehicles.

Available energy options could enable a GM-estimated range up to 644 kms or more on a full charge with 0 to 97 kms/hr acceleration in 3 seconds

GM plans 19 different battery and drive unit configurations initially. There are 550 internal combustion powertrain combinations available from GM today.
