Need Vehicles?
December 2020 Update
Updated December 10, 2020
New and used vehicle inventories across North America continue to be in short supply due to COVID-19. As the pandemic continues on, each month presents different challenges for manufacturers, parts suppliers, fleet managers, business owners, and others associated with the industry.

Last month, we reported increased vehicle production delays due to manufacturing parts and after-market upfitting shortages. In addition to this, many dealers are no longer willing to sell in-stock vehicles to fleet customers unless they pay retail prices.

Factory Orders
Due to various parts shortages you will have more success if you are flexible on specs when placing factory orders now. This could determine whether or not your order will be built during this model year.

Dealer Stocks
New: Stocks are now $5,000 to $10,000 more than factory orders.
Also, due to poor availability over the past few months, most vehicles landing on dealer lots are pre-sold.

If you are flexible on manufacturer, specs, and colour, Summit Fleet will have a better chance finding Stock vehicles for you. Dealer markups are based on supply and demand, which is even more unbalanced than last month.

If you need new vehicles in Q1 or Q2,
we urge you to place factory orders NOW.

Some order banks are already full and others will likely fill up before their 'final order date'.
