Need Vehicles?
October 2020 Update

Updated October 8, 2020
New vehicle inventory in North America has dropped to extreme lows due to the COVID-19 pandemic and automakers are having a hard time catching up to new vehicle demand.

To further complicate things, we are now seeing significant shortages on aftermarket upfitting such as seat covers, mud flaps, grill covers, and running boards, causing delays up to 6 weeks. Canopies are taking a minimum of 8 weeks to come in.

FLEXIBILITY WINS ON DEALER LOTS

If you are flexible on manufacturer, specs, and colour, Summit Fleet should be able to find the vehicle models you need, however there may be significant delays waiting for upfitting parts. Dealer markups continue to increase based on supply and demand. On average, dealer stock purchases are currently $3,000 to $5,000 more than factory orders.

ORDER BANKS ARE FILLING UP

Due to lower production allocation in Canada, manufacturer factory order banks are filling up fast. We are anticipating Ford's Super Duty order banks (3/4 tons, 1 tons, F-450/550) will be full by the end of November.

2021 FACTORY ORDER PRICING ON MOST MODELS

To avoid disappointment, we recommend placing factory orders NOW. The pandemic continues to bring uncertainty that is impacting all aspects of the automotive industry.

Even if pricing is not available for some models, ordering now ensures your place before order banks close.
